Excess Use Fees Suspended

Excess Use Fees Suspended

In light of the significant improvement in water availability, the District has suspended Excess Use Fees effective immediately. However, we kindly ask that all customers continue to use water wisely and adhere to Stage Two guidelines.

As of July 16th, the LCRA River Operations Report shows that the combined storage of Lake Buchanan and Lake Travis has reached 93% capacity. This is a welcome improvement and offers vast relief from ongoing drought conditions.

Water District 10, as a wholesale customer of Austin Water, follows the same water conservation stages as the City of Austin. At this time, Stage Two watering restrictions remain in effect.  However, the District is optimistic that conditions may allow for easing restrictions in the near future. Austin Water will evaluate opportunity for changes once the new LCRA projection report is released, which typically occurs during the first week of each month. District 10 customers will be promptly informed of any updates through waterdistrict10.org, robocall, and mailed notice.

We appreciate your continued commitment to water conservation as we monitor conditions and plan thoughtfully for the future.
